9 3.On the Registration page, click Membership Registration.

10 4.Complete the membership registration form and submit your payment. Registration is not complete until payment is received. How to: Join or Renew

12 How to: Find SIG advisors 1.From any page, under SNUG LINKS, click special interest groups. 2.On the Special Interest Groups (SIG) page, scroll down to Who is on the Board? and click the link.

13 How to: Find SIG advisors 3.Logon to SNUG when the logon dialog box displays. Result: The list of SIG advisers and moderators is displayed. The SNUG contact is listed first; the SCC contact is listed below the SNUG contact.

16 How to: Join a SIG mailing list 1.To join (subscribe to) a SIG mailing list, on the Special Interest Groups (SIG) page, scroll down to How do I sign up for the e-mail groups? and click the desired link.

17 How to: Join a SIG mailing list 2.The Listserv page for the selected SIG e-mail group is displayed [e.g., sig-ar (SoftA/R SIG)]. 3.Enter the following information: your e-mail address (required) your name (optional)

18 How to: Join a SIG mailing list 4.Select a password. 5.Click the option button to indicate whether you’d like to receive messages in a digest. 6.Click Subscribe.

19 How to: Visit the subscriber list 1.To visit the subscriber list, scroll down to the Subscribers section (e.g., sig-ar). 2.Enter your (e-mail) Address and Password. 3.Click Visit Subscriber List. 4.To edit your information (or to unsubscribe), click Unsubscribe or edit options.

20 How to: Edit your information 1.To edit your information, click Unsubscribe or edit options. You can also unsubscribe from the mailing list by clicking this button.

21 How to: Edit your information 2.Log in to edit your membership information. 3.If you forget your password, click Remind, and your password will be e-mailed to you.

22 How to: Unsubscribe 1.To unsubscribe from a SIG mailing list, log in and click Unsubscribe. 2. You will receive a confirmation message and further instructions.

23 How (NOT) to: Unsubscribe 1.If you no longer wish to receive SIG e-mails, do NOT send an e- mail to the entire group (or reply to all on an e-mail). This is SPAM.

24 How (NOT) to: Unsubscribe 2.When you first subscribe to a list, you will receive a message with the procedure. Follow these instructions or e-mail the list by clicking its link.

26 How to: Add a SIG request 1.From the SIG page, scroll down to How do I submit SIG enhancement requests? and click the SCC SIG Enhancement Form link. Submitting and voting on software enhancements is one of the perks of SIG membership!

27 How to: Add a SIG request 2.On the SIG Forum Request form, enter the following information: your name your client name in STAR your e-mail address desired forum desired topic reason for enhancement

28 How to: Add a SIG request 3.In the Email This Form To field, click the drop-down list button adjacent to the field and select the product that’s closest to your category. 4.To receive a copy of your request via e-mail, click the Send copy of request to your e-mail check box.

29 How to: Add a SIG request 5.Click Submit to send your request (or click Reset to clear the form and start over). 6.The form will be forwarded to the SIG moderator (SCC) for evaluation. If accepted, the request will be evaluated for estimated hours and will be added to the list for the upcoming year's voting.

30 How to: Check on a SIG enhancement request 1.To check on the status of an enhancement request, from the SIG page, scroll down to How do I check the SIG enhancement requests? and click SIG Members Bulletin Board.

31 How to: Check on a SIG enhancement request 2.Click the link for SIG Members Bulletin Board. Result: The SCC SIG Members Bulletin Board is displayed in read mode. To post a message to the bulletin board, you need to register.

33 How to: bridge to SCC’s Technical Support site for SIG resources There is a wealth of SIG information on SCC’s Technical Support site. To access this information, you will need to logon to SCC’s Technical Support Center. 1.From the SIG page, click SCC SIG page.

34 How to: bridge to SCC’s Technical Support site for SIG resources 2.When the logon to SCC’s Technical Support Center is displayed, enter your SCC User ID and Password and click Login.

35 How to: bridge to SCC’s Technical Support site for SIG resources From the SCC Technical Support Center User’s Groups webpage, you can access helpful information on SNUG SIGs.

For detailed instructions on using the SIG bulletin board and submitting requests, click SIG Bulletin Board User Instructions. You can access the SIG Advisor’s E-mail Listings from this page. For SNUG members ONLY. You can also access the SIG Enhancement Request Form from this page.

48 How to: subscribe to SCC-users list server The SCC-users list server is for SNUG members only. Subscription to the SCC-users list server is recommended, but is optional. For critical announcements that need to be sent to all SCC users (clients), SCC’s Client Services team manages the SCC-Announce list. Subscription to SCC- Announce is mandatory for all STAR users. Both of these functions are set up in SCC’s STAR.

49 How to: subscribe to SCC-users list server 1.To subscribe to the SCC-users list server, logon to STAR. 2.Click Modify User on the dashboard icons.

50 How to: subscribe to SCC-users list server 3.Search for the user from the list. Enter search criteria (e.g., User ID, First Name, Last Name) or leave blank and click Search.

51 How to: subscribe to SCC-users list server 4.Set the SCC-Users List flag. a.On the User tab, click Edit to enable edit mode so you can change settings.

52 How to: subscribe to SCC-users list server 4.Set the SCC-Users List flag. b.Click the drop-down list button adjacent to the Users list field and select Yes. 5.Click Save to add the user to the list server

53 SCC Announce List E-mails The Announce list flag is used for critical announcements and downtime notifications. Subscription to the SCC-Announce list is mandatory for all Active STAR users. This field is not editable.

54 The Newsletter flag is inactive. SCC uses SCC Announce to send the Technical Support Quarterly Newsletter. Technical Support Quarterly Newsletter
