Communication If you ever have questions or concerns, your first line of communication should be directly to the teacher you have a question or concern to address. Your child has access to school email. During their first week of technology, Mr. Murphy will be showing them how to appropriately email questions to their teachers. For information about grades, assignments or assessments check IC. Frequent and regular communication about curriculum and upcoming events will be sent to you weekly in our newsletter. Please be diligent about reading these so you don’t miss important third grade news!
5
Studying Students will be required to study for history, science, and vocabulary tests throughout the year. Studying is a life skill and your child will need help mastering this type of homework. We teach study skills in the classroom, but we also need your support with this at home. We have provided a study tips resource on our third grade webpage if you are looking for new ideas.

Parent Portal- Infinite Campus LOOK: Assignments and grades will be updated frequently. Please SAVE work in case of an error so you can send the work back in for an adjustment to IC. Missing assignments: If you receive a missing assignment notice, please ask your child to locate or finish it and turn it in. You will see a T in place of a grade when your child has turned in an assignment, but it hasn’t been graded yet.
7
Infinite Campus (IC) Andriod App If you are looking at the assignments list, you cannot see teacher notes or descriptions. Click on planner, and go to your child’s schedule, click on each subject, click on the specific assignment to see all information on the assignment. When you receive a missing assignment notification email, go to the app or website to see details. For all apps: If you accept push notifications on the app, you will be notified immediately (rather than waiting until 6pm) about missed assignments and updated grades, but you may get several notifications throughout the day.
8
Late Policy for homework or classwork: K-3: 10% day 1; 20% day 2; 50% within 5 days. After 5 days, no credit will be received.
