HITLER’S PERSECUTION OF THE JEWS Hitler’s main mission was to crush the Versailles treaty in defiance for Germany losing WW1. In Hitler’s book ‘Mein Kampf ’he frequently expresses hatred for Jews and his views for an Aryan race. In 1933, Hitler built the first concentration camp called ‘Dachau’ that housed Jewish, homosexual, disabled, and enemies of the Third Reich. Hitler was not the only dictator that built labour camps. Stalin also built labour camps that housed political opponents, homosexuals and criminals. These were called ‘Gulags’. Germany and the Soviets sign the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

DICTATOR’S INVASION Hitler’s mission was to create a living space (lebensraum) for Aryan Germans. To do this Hitler invaded Sudetenland, Rhineland, Czechoslovakia, Poland and annexed his homeland of Austria. When Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia he caused uproar. Mussolini called for the Munich conference. Mussolini also invaded Abyssinia (now Ethiopia). This lead to Italy and Germany signing the pact of steel. When Germany invaded Poland, they used their successful strategy of the Blitzkrieg ( Lightning War). This caused thousands of migrants to flee to Britain, France, Australia and the US. During the Spanish civil war, Germany helped out communist Spain and also tested out the Blitzkrieg strategy.
