Why should I change?

The Repentance of Paul of Tarsus (Acts 9:1-19 ) This is the story of Saul of Tarsus. He had two names: Saul and Paul. He was a Jew who lived in a city called Tarsus. People in this city didn’t know anything about God. His parents sent him to Jerusalem to learn about the Jewish religion.

Saul was persecuting the Christians (treat them badly and with unfair way) because he thought they were not worshiping the true God. He thought that by doing this, he was serving God.
4
He persecuted Christians to the point that he went to Damascus to arrest them and bring them to Jerusalem to be judged. God knew that Saul’s heart was full of love and that he needed some guidance to show him the right way. That’s why God took care of him.
5
Calling from Jesus When Saul was on his way to Damascus, something really strange happened to him. Suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell off his horse to the ground and heard a voice saying, “ Saul, Saul why are you persecuting Me?”
6
Saul replied, “ Who are you Lord?” and the voice answered, “ I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. Arise and go into the city and you will be told what you must do.”
7
How did Saul change? The first thing he did was asking God for guidance. He was ready to obey, but wanted God to tell him what he should do. That’s why Jesus told him to go to the city and there he will be told what God wants him to do.

Memory verse “Lord what do You want me to do” Acts 9:6

What do we learn from this story? When someone persecutes the christians it is like he persecutes Jesus Christ himself. When we do nice thing to others it is like we do this with Jesus, and when we do bad thing with others it is like we do this with jesus himself. When we do nice things, Jesus will be happy and when we do bad things,Jesus will be sad. DO you want to make Jesus happy or sad ? When you give food or money or even nice words to the poor it is like you give this to jesus himself.
10
. And when we show love to anyone it is like we show this love to Jesus Christ himself
11
God is so good and merciful. Although Saul was persecuting His children, He appeared to him and showed him the right way. When Saul saw our Lord and heard His voice, he obeyed Him and he change his life for better.
