What a former SR student says about the course I was attracted to the SR programme as I had vast experience of whole class teaching as a teaching assistant and felt that I already had some skills and abilities to be a teacher. The programme's aim was to build on these existing skills and experience which was what I needed. This SR programme took into account of my past experience and used this to inform my training programme instead of just using it as a reason to get onto the course. This SR programme suited my experience and skills that I already had and built and refined them to be able to reach the Standards. The course gives you the tools you need to succeed. The SR programme was a brilliant experience that put me at the centre of my learning which meant the training programme was suited to my needs. The tutors were supportive, positive and challenging. It was extremely hard work but well worth it. The course gives you the tools you need to succeed. If you feel you have the confidence, the experience, the skills and a good work ethic then the SR programme is for you. But be prepared and be reflective!
