Australian Open The Australian Open is the only Grand Slam tennis tournament held in the southern hemisphere. The tournament was held for the first time in 1905 and was last contested on grass in 1987. Since 1972 the Australian Open has been held in Melbourne, Victoria. In 1988, the tournament became a hard court event. It is currently held at Melbourne Park. The tournament is held in Melbourne in the Australian summer, in the last fortnight of the month of January. The Australian Open and Wimbledon are the only Grand Slam tournaments with indoor play.

Roland Garros The French Open is a major tennis tournament, which held over two weeks between late May and early June in Paris, France, at the Stade Roland Garros. It is the premier clay court tennis tournament in the world. Roland Garros is the only Grand Slam held on clay court.The prize that the tournament winner takes, is of €1.120.000. The runner-up takes €560.000.

Wimbledon The Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world It has been held at the England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877. Wimbledon is the only Major still played on grass, the game's original surface, which gave the game of lawn tennis its name. The tournament takes place over two weeks in late June and early July. Wimbledon traditions include a strict dress code for competitors, the eating of strawberries and cream by the spectators and Royal patronage. The tournament is also notable for the absence of sponsor advertising around the courts. In 2009, Wimbledon's Centre court was fitted with a retractable roof to prevent rain delaying and interrupting Centre Court matches during the tournament.

U.S Open The US Open, formally the United States Open Tennis Championships, is a hard court tennis tournament.National Championship, which for men's singles was first contested in 1881. Since 1987, the US Open has been chronologically the fourth and final tennis major comprising the Grand Slam each year. It is held annually in August and September over a two-week period. The main tournament consists of five different event championships: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with additional tournaments for senior and junior.

Novak Djokovic Novak Djokovic was born in 1987 in Serbia. He plays with the right-hand. He started playing tennis at the age of four and he won the first championship since he was 14 years old. He has won four Grand Slam singles titles: in 2008 and 2011 the Australian Open, in 2011 the Wimbledon and in 2011 the US Open. He is the first player representing Serbia to win a Major singles title and the youngest player in the open era to have reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events. Djokovic is also a double winner of The Best Sportsperson of Serbia award and the award for The Best Sportsman by the Olympic Committee of Serbia.

Rafael Nadal Rafael "Rafa" Nadal was born in 1986 in Spain. He plays with the left-hand. He started playing tennis at the age of three and at age eight he won his first championship. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. His success on clay has earned him the nickname "The King of Clay“. Nadal has won ten Grand Slam singles titles, including six French Open titles.Also was part of the Spain Davis Cup team that won the finals in 2004, 2008 and 2009. Nadal had a 32-match winning streak in 2008, starting at the 2008 Masters Series Hamburg, the French Open,Queen's Club, his first title at Wimbledon and the Rogers Cup. In 2011, by winning the Monte Carlo Masters, he became the only player to have won seven editions of a tournament in a row at the ATP level.He regained the world No.1 ranking on 7 June 2010, after winning his fifth French Open title.

Andy Murray Andrew "Andy" Murray was born in 1987 and he is a Scottish professional tennis player. He plays with the right-hand. Murray achieved a top-10 ranking by the Association of Tennis Professionals for the first time on 16 April 2007. He has been runner-up in three Grand Slam finals :in 2008 the US Open, in 2010 the Australian Open and in 2011 the Australian Open.Murray began playing tennis at age 5.At 12, Murray won his category at the Orange Bowl.

Roger Federer Roger Federer was born in 1981, in Sweden. He plays with the right-hand. Federer has won men's record 16 Grand Slam singles titles. He is the only male player in tennis history to have reached the title match of each Grand Slam tournament at least five times and also the final at each of the nine ATP Masters 1000 Tournaments He holds the record of reaching the semifinals or better of 23 consecutive Grand Slam tournaments over five and a half years from in 2004 the Wimbledon Championships through in 2010 the Australian Open. At the US Open, he reached a record 30th consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal. Federer has won a record five ATP World Tour Finals and 18 ATP Masters Series tournaments.He also won the gold medal in doubles with his compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. As a result of Federer's successes in tennis, he was named the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record four consecutive years. In 2011, Federer was ranked no. 25 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 List.

Caroline Wozniacki Caroline Wozniacki was born in 1990 and she is a Danish professional tennis player. She plays with the right-hand. She has won 18 WTA singles titles as of August 2011, three in 2008, three in 2009, six in 2010 and six in 2011. She was runner-up at the 2009 US Open and the 2010 WTA Tour Championships in Doha. She won the 2006 Wimbledon Girls' Singles title. She also holds two WTA titles in doubles.

Petra Kvitová Petra Kvitová was born in 1990 and is a Czech professional tennis player. She plays with the left-hand. She has won seven WTA singles titles. Kvitová won the 2011 Wimbledon Championships and the 2011 WTA Tour Championships singles titles.

Maria Sharapova Maria Sharapova was born in 1987,in Russia.She plays with the right-hand. She has won 24 WTA singles titles, including three Grand Slam singles titles at the 2004 Wimbledon, 2006 US Open and 2008 Australian. Sharapova made her professional breakthrough in 2004 when she was 17 years old. Sharapova's 2007 season was plagued with a chronic shoulder injury and saw her ranking fall out of the top 5 for the first time in two years. She won her third Grand Slam at the 2008 Australian Open. She had a problem with her shoulder and she was out of games for nearly 10 months. Since her comeback, Sharapova has won five singles titles.

Victoria Azarenka Victoria Azarenka was born in 1989 and she is a Belarusian professional tennis player. She plays with the right-hand. Azarenka has won two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles: at the 2007 US Open with Max Mirnyi and at the 2008 French Open with Bob Bryan. She has won seven singles titles, including the Sony Ericsson Open in 2009 and 2011 and has made one Grand Slam semifinal appearance at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships and five quarterfinal appearances.
