Municipality competes against the BPU BGS state default rate Auction held with NJ licensed suppliers Winning supplier is chosen (must be lower than utility rate) Auction results compared against utility default rate Rate is locked in for the term 100% price guaranteed – always be lower than utility’s rate

You will receive a letter explaining the program, the supplier’s information, the reduced rate and response options Program only includes those who are not currently with a third party electric supplier This form letter developed by the BPU provides: All program information Notifications methods Mail return, 800#, Website

Utility will send a switch over letter confirming participation The letter will come directly from utility and will confirm your exact start date with the supplier. Begin receiving reduced rate with utility’s rate compared right on monthly bill

Who do I call if my electric goes out? Will I be penalized if I do not become part of the program? Will there be a different or two separate bills? Does this hurt the utility company? Who do I call with billing questions? If I cancel can I resume participation? Is budget billing offered? What if I already have a Third Party Supplier? Why do I have to respond in order to not participate?
