3. The Boston Area Research Initiative An interuniversity partnership that pursues urban research that advances both scholarship and policy. 4. The Boston Area Research Initiative Local policy should be driven by evidence-based decision making. Behavioral science should focus on individuals and the societies they create. These two goals converge in the study of the city. Big data provide a new set of resources that can be the centerpiece of this conversation.

8. The Boston Data Portal Does everyone want raw data?  Publish maps of new indicators on BostonMap (i.e., WorldMap).

9. Advances to the Boston Data Portal Pt. I: GeoConnect GeoConnect enables users to map spatial files in Dataverse on WorldMap. Soon will be able to map tabular data with spatial references (e.g., census tract codes). Supported by an NSF grant.
