Hiding Stuff on your Computer ● Physical hiding ● USB stick, memory card, hard drive ● Encryption ● Linux or TrueCrypt ● Also encrypt pagefile / swap ! ● Misdirection / obscuring / steganography ● Ubuntu: Encrypted Private Directory ● TrueCrypt ● Really deleting your files: shred program ● No system is fool-proof !

Password security ● At least 12-character ● Combination of: ● upper case letters ● lower case letters ● symbols ● digits ● NOT: ● same password everywhere ● real words (as in dictionary) ● personal info (name, birthday, etc.)
