Introduction Politics of Aid 4 Many developing countries in Africa suffer from a series of problems which makes life very difficult. 1) TOO MANY PEOPLE 2) NOT ENOUGH FOOD The 3 rd of these problems that we are going to learn about is: POOR HEALTH

Next Problem….Poor Health Politics of Aid 4 Developing countries do not have a National Health Service. If there is not a proper immunisation programme it is difficult to fight disease. In the UK most of us have had the measles and been ok. In a developing country we would probably be dead. This is because we gain important nutrients from the food we eat and this helps us fight infection and disease.

7. Why do people in Ethiopia have difficulty getting medical help when they are ill? There are fewer doctors – this means people have to go a long way to see one People have to pay to see doctors – they can’t afford it and maybe can’t afford to travel either Medicines have to be paid for – they are very expensive
