At least one source from “Opposing Viewpoints Database.” (Must have King County Library System card to access this) 7. At least one website as a source. 8. One interview with a person you know. 3 OPAC SEARCH Basic Search Power Search Use “and”, “or”, “not” to limit the search results. KAR 4.15.11

4 1. At least one source from “Reference” Look for REF in the call number Reference books will be at the end of the list when books are in call number order. Reference Section KAR 4.15.11

5 2. At least one source from “Book Series.” Book Series – A collection of books which share common characteristics, that are officially identified as a group. KAR 4.15.11

6 3. At least one book not from the Reference section of the library. The call number does not include REF. The call number does not include REF, but has AV which indicates an audiobook or a video. Audiobooks can be downloaded to your iPod or MP3 player. Video Audio KAR 4.15.11

7 Go to the Library Website to access school Databases. If you access databases outside of school, passwords are needed. Please obtain a list of passwords from library circulation desk. KAR 4.15.11

Click on Opposing Viewpoints in Contest. Sign in using your library card number and your password (last four digits of your phone number). KAR 4.15.11

12 Type your topic in the search bar or click on one of the headings. Click on view all to see more topics under each heading. Note: reviewing the topics is a great way to find a controversial issue for your paper. KAR 4.15.11
