LAM for a Week This Summer at Church Near You!
3
A penny has value, one cent…
4
…but if you have lots of pennies they add up very quickly.
5
If you have 100 pennies they equal a dollar…
6
$100,000,000,000,000,000,000 … and we all know how quickly they add up and how valuable they can be to us.
7
Sometimes we drop a penny or two and we think to ourselves…
8
…should I pick it up? Should I leave it there? It might wrinkle my suit if I bend over!
9
Perhaps someone else will pick it up for me…
10
…it’s just one penny, after all…
11
…and I’m in a hurry, I have so many other things to do.
12
That penny has had an interesting journey.
13
It’s seen many different places, been in all kinds of situations.
14
That penny has a story to tell…
15
…a life of organization, of community.
16
Things have happened to this penny that we might have never, ever imagined!
17
When it started out it was shiny and bright, but now It is wornAnd has lost it’s luster.
18
This change doesn’t diminish it’s value
19
A tarnished penny has a lifetime of experience.
20
It’s known love…
21
It knows how to enjoy life…
22
It has experience that can teach us all in wisdom.
23
Today you have an opportunity to connect with a long term member of Wesley, for seven days, through one or more of these ways; through prayer…
24
…by sending cards, visits, meals, cookies; (or be creative, maybe ice cream or…
25
…by making a phone call. You might like to communicate with someone for more than seven days so go ahead!
26
This is a great way to enhance your life.
27
All ages are encouraged to be a part of this program.
28
Children under the age of 14 should have permission from parents to participate.
29
Enjoy your new friend…
