Did you know you can help families in your community by serving a McFamily Night Dinner at your local Ronald McDonald House?
2
Ronald McDonald Houses all over America are located next to children’s hospitals. They provide a home away from home for families of hospitalized children. There’s probably one near you!
3
Ronald McDonald Houses invite volunteers to come serve their visitors dinner. They’re called McFamily Night Dinners, and they’re made by people like you! …and those folks need dinner!
4
Forming a group is EASY! All you need is five to eight friends, and each pitches in one dish. Your House volunteer coordinator will tell you how many people to prepare for, usually around 25.
5
Who Makes a Good Group? Bible study groups Book clubs Service clubs Neighbors Colleagues Youth groups & Sunday school classes (teens are welcome when supervised by 2 adults!) Families Friends Bunco club/poker pals
6
My group does “Taco Tuesday.” Each person brings just 1 or 2 things! + + + + + + = +
7
You can bring ingredients and cook at the House, or bring cooked dishes in to serve, whichever is more convenient for you!
8
Serving the meal buffet- style is very easy! The House is already stocked with all the paper goods needed: plates, napkins, utensils, and cups. Just set them onto the counter and clear away at the end of the meal. EASY!
9
Helpful Hint: These aluminum pans are easy to throw away at the end of the night — no dishes to clean! House kitchens all feature a long buffet counter.
10
Serving a McFamily Night Dinner is also a great way for kids to learn the value of community service.
11
You’ll find that serving a McFamily Night Dinner is rewarding and fun!
12
Families really appreciate a hot, home- cooked meal and a place to sit down and relax at the end of the day.

So Call! Call up your local Ronald McDonald House today, and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator. Call up your local Ronald McDonald House today, and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator.
