POINTS FOR CONSIDERATION… IF YOU FIND A STUDENT DEVICE WITHOUT THE STUDENT LABEL, THE SCHOOL T.S. OR MEDIA SPECIALIST CAN ASSIST IN IDENTIFYING TO WHOM IT BELONGS. POWER ADAPTERS WILL GET MIXED UP; IT IS IMPORTANT TO ENSURE EVERY CHILD HAS ONE. STUDENTS WILL NEED ACCESS TO CHARGE THEIR DEVICES DAILY WHILE AT SCHOOL, ADDITIONAL POWER STRIPS CAN FACILITATE THIS. STUDENTS MUST USE LAPTOP FRIENDLY BACKPACKS THAT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT PROTECTION TO THE DEVICE. EXTRA PADDING IS PROVIDED TO LAPTOP FRIENDLY BAGS TO DECREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF DAMAGING THE LAPTOP.
15
OPTING OUT STUDENTS MAY OPT OUT OF TAKING A LAPTOP TO AND FROM HOME AND SCHOOL. THEY CANNOT OPT OUT OF USING THIS EDUCATIONAL TOOL DURING THE INSTRUCTIONAL DAY. EACH TEAM WILL WORK WITH ADMINISTRATION ON SECURING THE LAPTOPS FOR ANY STUDENT WHO HAS OPTED OUT. STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR OWN MOBILE LEARNING DEVICE TO SCHOOL. CCSD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL SOFTWARE OR PROVIDE ANY HARDWARE SUPPORT TO STUDENT-OWNED DEVICES.
