2 CHARACTERS 1- Roberto Chimaras Sánchez: cousin 2- James Robinson Bush: cousin’s friend 3-Luis Sánchez, father: Roberto’s uncle 4-Luis Sánchez, jr: Roberto’s cousin 5-Nando Esteves: Homeless

3 CONFLICT My cousin Roberto Chimaras came to Puerto Rico with a friend. He has a mentality of superiority and thinks that in Puerto Rico everything is easy and we don’t have any problems. The American way of life is all the happiness. His friend says that a person without a car, is nothing

5 James said that in Puerto Rico, people do not read much, and was surprised that there is a library. I took them to a site where there are free books.

8 We arrived to where are the free books, and then came a homeless guy and asked him for money. Then, Roberto gets angry and insulted him. He also tell us that is the problem in Venezuela, the poor people is a trouble The homeless tells him; “But you are from a poor place”, Roberto said: “How do you know that ?” Then the homeless said: “I took you from the street 23 de enero to the company PDVSA when you are new. You sat in my car, it was a Mercedes Benz”.

9 Roberto and me we didn’t understand the situation. Roberto asked him: “Who are you” and Roberto confess him: “I am Nando Esteves, I was your supervisor” When I divorced from my second wife I lost everything, and I came to Puerto Rico with some money. Then the economic crisis in Puerto Rico, was hard for me and I lost my home and went to the streets”. Roberto started to cry, and remembered he was a poor guy. Then Nando tells him: “Don’t judge another country and its people. Any person love his motherland for all the things. Maybe they have same problems and same advantages”.

10 “Venezuela and Puerto Rico are part of Latin America, and they have problems but have a good music, literature and pretty women”.
