5 GENDER EQUALITY Equal rights, responsibilities and opportunieties of women and men. Equality does not mean that women and men will became the same but that women’s and men’s rights, responsibilities and opportunities will nor depend on weather they are born male or female. Gender equality implies that interests, needs and priorities of both women and men are taken into consideration, recognizing the diversity of different groups of women and men (UN Entity for Gender Equality).

22 The women’s center in our school They came to work with gender equality through the story Rosa Caramelo.

23 EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITIES All people should be treated similarity, unhindered by artificial barriers or prejudices or preferences. Our school thinks that is so important to get involve our children with special needs in the school routines and other activities. For that reason, is necessary to create some special resources in order to achieve this goal.

24 Our goverment has created this school year a TEA/ ASD classroom in our school to attend these children much better.

25 HOW CAN WE GET AN ASD/TEA ROOM? Requirements: 1º. AUTISTIC CHILDREN 2º. COMMITED TEACHERS 3º. COMMITED PARENTS

26 WHAT IS AN ASD/TEA ROOM? THESE ROOMS ARE INTEGRATED IN ORDINARY SCHOOLS. THEY ATTEND CHILDREN WITH QUALITATIVE ALTERATIONS (COMUNICATIVE ISSUES, WITHOUT SOCIAL SKILLS AND OTHERS).

27 There are between 4 and 6 children in the ASD/TEA room. Childen are not always here but also they are included in ordinary classrooms with a headteacher and other mates.
