9  The transactional functions are the functions of ‘here and now’ and are immediate and at the same time reactive in nature  Such functions may include:  Administrative functions  Functions dealing with procedures and systems  Examples: recruitment and selection, maternity, paternity, inductions, discipline and grievances, immediate change, terms and conditions of employment, promotion, dealing with conflict management, responding to queries related to HR, for example holiday entitlements, maternity pay, transfers, performance appraisals etc

10  The transformational functions are long- term and not something which is immediate and reactive.  For example: culture, structure, management style, training and development, developing policies and procedures, change management, leadership  Now please refer to the functions mentioned earlier and put them according to your preferences: transactional or transformational
