2 EST 8000 Construction Safety and Health Seminar This seminar is designed to help construction companies reduce the number of accidents and comply with the OSHA standards. The focus will be on the prevention of illnesses and injuries due to falls, electrocutions, trenching accidents, silica, and lead exposure. Seminar Topics EST 8003 Ergonomics and the Control of Workplace Musculoskeletal Disorders This half-day seminar is designed to help companies determine if they have ergonomics hazards in their facilities and what can be done to address these hazards. Attendees will learn how to identify musculoskeletal disorder risk factors in the workplace and some possible solutions to common problems. The primary focus of this course will be on upper extremity and back related issues that are most prominent in industry. Attendees will also be introduced to the current agenda from OSHA regarding ergonomics. Seminar Topics OSHA Update and Introduction Electrical Safety Fall Prevention Lead and Silica Safety and Health Programs Recordkeeping Powered Industrial Trucks Work Zone Safety Excavations and Trenching Definition of Ergonomics Identifying Risk Factors for Upper Extremities Identifying Risk Factors for Backs Overview of Assessment Tools Ergonomic Program Development OSHA’s Ergonomics Agenda EST 8001 General Industry Safety and Health Seminar This seminar, designed for manufacturing companies, will present safety information on how to implement OSHA’s safety and health regulations in the workplace. The seminar will introduce attendees to OSHA’s general industry standards and will provide an overview of the requirements for some of the key safety issues facing general industry, including the prevention of amputations and exposures to lead and silica. Seminar Topics OSHA 7100 Introduction to Machinery & Machine Safeguarding This seminar is designed to increase the participant’s knowledge and skill in proper machine safeguarding techniques, and to highlight the benefits of guarding various types of machinery. It is the employer’s responsibility to identify and select the safeguard necessary to protect employees and others in the work area as well as provide appropriate training in safe work practices. Knowing when and how to properly safeguard machinery can reduce or eliminate the potential for accidents and injuries. Seminar Topics OSHA Update and Introduction Machinery and Machine Safeguarding Lockout/Tagout Lead and Silica Safety and Health Programs Powered Industrial Trucks Recordkeeping Ergonomics EST 8002 Occupational Health Special Topics: Industrial Hygiene Update Learn to protect workers who have potential exposure to occupational health hazards in the workplace. In this seminar we will provide updates on important OSHA and industrial hygiene related topics. Seminar Topics Methods of Safeguarding Management Responsibilities Methods of Safeguarding Management Responsibilities OSHA 7105 Introduction to Emergency Planning This seminar is designed to assist companies in protecting workers from emergencies in the workplace. This seminar will briefly cover issues such as chemical spills, severe weather, fire, workplace violence, and homeland defense. Additionally, this program will cover the plans required by OSHA to deal with these issues. This is a six hour seminar with the first four hours dedicated to Emergency Action Plans and general site safety and the remaining four dedicated to Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
