To be eligible: You must be a serving sworn police officer that has served in the Province of Alberta or; A retired police officer that served in the Province of Alberta The tournament is open to all skill levels! If you are thinking, “I don’t think I’m good enough…,” you are mistaken! This tournament is inclusive to all golfers, no matter your score! YOU WILL ENJOY YOURSELF!

The APGA Tournament is a great opportunity to meet fellow officers, both active and retired, and enjoy the game of golf in a relaxed setting and an excellent golf course for a great value. In its 82 nd year, the APGA is a great tradition promoting camaraderie along with raising money for a worthy charity. Most who attend make the tournament an annual event they look forward to every summer.

The 2016 APGA Tournament will be held at The Springs at Radium Golf Club in Radium, BC. This dates for this year’s tournament are Monday, August 22 nd to Wednesday, August 24 th, 2016. A reduced rate is in effect should participants wish to book a practice round at The Springs Golf Club on the Sunday prior to the tournament.

The Golf Course The Springs at Radium is consistently ranked as one of the best public golf courses in Canada. The Springs at Radium is set high along the banks of the Columbia River, and the weather in late August is always warm and dry.

APGA Tournament Format DAY ONE (Aug 22 nd ) Qualifying round. You golf an 18 hole round and submit your score. Based on your usual score (handicap), you will be placed in a flight with a similarly skilled player for DAY TWO. DAY TWO (Aug 23 rd ) Match play. You will play two 9-hole matches against other golfers in your flight/foursome. The results of your two 9-hole matches will determine if you play an 18-hole match or play in a Texas Scramble on DAY THREE. DAY THREE (Aug 24 th ) Based on the results on DAY TWO, you will either play an 18-hole match or be part of a best ball Texas Scramble tournament.

ENTRY FEE $400 Includes: Three rounds of golf with power cart at The Springs Shotgun start Access to Driving/Practice Range each morning (incl. balls) at no charge Full Breakfast Buffet on Mon/Tues/Wed before golf Full Dinner Buffet Monday/Tuesday and a steak dinner on Wednesday Pizza on registration night (Sunday) and a welcoming gift Reduced rate for Sunday practice round before tournament (optional) Participation in all course prizes, dinner prize draws, and others

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Breakfast is served every morning in a ‘come and go’ format at The Springs clubhouse, along with the evening dinners. The clubhouse is a short walk from the Big Horn Meadows Resort. The APGA Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday evening right after dinner and the Wednesday steak dinner will be held immediately after golf so members can return home at a reasonable time. A room at the clubhouse will also be made available to members who wish to play cards, etc. in the evening. A fee to cover staffing costs may apply.

ORGANIZATION The Alberta Police Golf Association Tournament is rich in history and provides an annual opportunity for active and retired Police Officers who have served in Alberta to gather for a unique golf tournament that is attended by members of multiple police services. Multiple charities have benefitted over the years as the proceeds from each tournament are donated to a charity chosen by each year’s organizing committee. The organization of the tournament rotates every year between EPS, CPS, and the RCMP.
