Facts about Venezuela -Christmas in Venezuela is one of the most colorful in Latin America and the whole world. -Firework shows are very popular. -Venezuela plays Gaita Music,a type of folk music. The songs are like Christmas carols. -Santa Claus is known as Papa Noel and San Nicholas. Baby Jesus brings the gifts to children.

Nativity scenes are popular and in some regions more common than Christmas trees. -Traditional food includes Hallacas ( a mixture of pork, beef, chicken, raisins, olives)that is wrapped in plantain leaves and tied up with string and then boiled or steamed.

Facts about Venezuela -Another food is a Swiss roll filled with ham, raisins, olives, they also eat chicken salad and pork leg. -People paint their houses two to four weeks before Christmas, to be nice and ready to be decorated. -Many people have new clothing for Christmas and New Years Eve. Many people believe that wearing yellow brings good luck for the new year.

Facts About Guatemala -Traditions include Christmas trees and nativities. -They eat a midnight dinner on Dec.24 th and to start the 25th. -Before and after the midnight dinner people party,dance or just visit with friends.
