View Volunteers Progress Award School Certificates View / Opt-into Event Opportunities Search Community Placements Manage Personal Details As volunteers join a school, the school mentor is required to approve them to their school.

When Students initially log on to the Passport System – Please be aware that the sent to their account will usually appear in their ‘Junk’ Box.

If this happens or there are problems with a Student’s account (not able to access at School for example), the School Mentor can now verify the Student so they don’t have to look at the initially sent to them. Once the School Mentor ‘verifies’ the Volunteer, the Student should be able to log on to the SiSVP Network normally, without having to click on the link sent their account.

View Volunteers Progress Award School Certificates View / Opt-into Event Opportunities Search Community Placements Manage Personal Details Any school logs are allocated to the School Mentor to verify. The School Mentor can see all logs, and override verification of community logs.

Please ensure all the logged details are correct (i. e
Please ensure all the logged details are correct (i.e. ‘Active Volunteering’ rather than ‘Training’ – Training only represents CPD not ‘Coaching’) Also ensure that you are the correct individual to be verifying the session, a lot of Volunteers have incorrectly logged a session as ‘School based’ rather than Community. (This will affect their total hours working towards a National Award if done incorrectly)

View Volunteers Progress Award School Certificates View / Opt-into Event Opportunities Search Community Placements Manage Personal Details Oversee all their volunteers progress, and can verify community logs if a placements Volunteer Coordinator fails to do it.

School Mentors can observe their Students’ progress under School & Community and how close they are to achieving the National Awards of Bronze (50 hours), Silver (100) and Gold (200). REMEMBER! Volunteers cannot ‘combine’ School and Community hours to total towards the National Awards, these are individual (i.e. 50 School based voluntary hours will result in a Bronze BUT not 20 School hours and 30 Community based hours.)

If a ‘Community Log’ remains unverified then the School Mentor can verify it.

Ensure the details are correct and the log is under ‘Community’.

View Volunteers Progress Award School Certificates View / Opt-into Event Opportunities Search Community Placements Manage Personal Details Award Certificates for School Volunteering Awards. School Mentors / PDMs should issue School based Volunteering with National Certificates (sent by YST), Suffolk Sport distribute Community Volunteering Awards.

Click on Award level to see if any of your Volunteers have achieved a National Award.

If Student’s name is white, it means they have reached the Award but their hours are unverified – Hours should be verified before rewarding the Volunteer.

Once you distribute the Award, click the box to confirm this.

Once clicked, it will detail name of School Mentor and date that the Certificate was distributed.

Although most placements are approved by Suffolk Sport, we still encourage you to promote Community Placements that are Clubmark accredited or working towards.
