3 Currency/Exchange Rate: Called Guatemalan Quetzals, $0.13= 1 Quetzal Points of interest: First, The Tikal, known for it’s ancient beauty and wonders. The Tikal means “Place of Voices”. Next, Lago de Atitalan, described as the most beautiful lake in the world. Finally, Santa Catalina Arch, known for old world style Spanish architecture by way of palaces and cathedrals. 3 Major Cities: Guatemala City, it’s main attraction being The National Palace. Next is Antigua, Guatemala whose main attraction is The Santa Catalina Arch and The San Fransico Church. Finally, Flores, known for a small Central Park and a Catholic Church with beautiful stained glass windows.

4 People Population: 14,373,472 Dress/Clothing: Native dress of Mayans which is called a traje Customs: Processions through the streets on rugs made of dyed sawdust Holidays: Christmas, Christmas Eve, New years eve, new years, Labor day, and Easter which is always on a Monday. Food: Guatemala’s common food is corn.

5 Geography Climate: 64 degrees fahrenheit or 18 degree celsius How we would travel to Guatemala from Elon: WE would travel by boat. Latitude and Longitude: 14.6333 degrees North(Latitude) and 90.5000 degrees West(Longitude)

6 Free Choices National Animal: Quetzal School life: They learn American school subjects and have some American sports like track and field.

7 Would I visit Guatemala? Yes, we would visit Guatemala because it has lots of great landmarks that seem very interesting. They also have a lot of food that sounds like it would be amazing. We would both love to visit Guatemala someday.
