Guardian Group’s S.E.R.T. Training Facility 2014 Non- Profit Outreach Programs Presented by Michael Hubbard Chief Operations Officer Guardian Group EMS Emergency Management

J.S.O.C.S. Training Guardian Group S.E.R.T Facility instructors will offer Joint Special Operations Communication Systems (J.S.O.C.S) training courses to all Federal, State and Local law enforcement, EMS, fire, hospital and airport personnel. The J.S.O.C.S. program is a stepping stone for the total Telemedicine and Incident Command System (ICS) that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) needs in the nation. When EMS and ICS communication capabilities fail during a disaster, Internet failure or Electric grid shutdown, J.S.O.C.S. will remain up and running. Sheriffs, hospitals, remotes rescue sites and cities that are cut-off from communication will be able to report their critical medical and overall needs securely.
3
J.S.O.C.S Training continued The Guardian Group SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) Training Facility (STF) will provide specific training and scenario and exercise-based education to develop a new Emergency Rescue Response asset for emergency response groups utilizing J.S.O.C.S. in the state of Oregon and Northern California. The medical communications and tracking systems currently in place for the aging community is in need of repair. The J.S.O.C.S. program brings solutions to this critical lifeline for endangered senior populations and populations in remote areas. The J.S.O.C.S. is deployed with a completely secure encryption system that is approved by Military, the Federal Aviation Agency, and power supply agencies.

The S.E.R.T. Training Facility’s Concept and Duel Mission Located on a large remote ranch in Oregon, the main structure of the training facility will be a large hunting lodge/bed and breakfast hotel. The facility will be capable of housing and feeding up to 30 families at full capacity. Half of the rooms will be for GG’s personnel to train thus, providing an ideal classroom and learning environment in which they can complete their required training. The facility will allow personnel training to be conducted in a closed environment away from the public eye, while still affording downtime activities after class.

Duel Mission Goals While conducting training for Guardian Group and local EMS personnel, Guardians From Above, our non-profit LLC, will offer the remaining rooms to returning veterans and their families with low-cost or no-cost stays on the Ranch. The facility is a stress free environment for returning Vets to be reunited with their families during the all-important readjustment period. Goals: Ease the transition for returning Vets upon returning stateside. Assist families reuniting with military members returning from deployment. Provide alternative therapies for returning Vets with disabilities or PTSD. Assist returning vets with job placement.
7
Non-Profit Outreach Programs Activities offered at the facility for all ages will include: Horseback riding Hiking, camping, sports activities and fishing

Specialized Outreach Programs

Partnering with known organizations Developing animal rescue programs in which returning Vets with PTSD, may care for and adopt the animals while staying at the facility. Partnering with organizations such as: Operation Freedom Paws: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5HQ8-0Ossw An alternative approach entails saving military working dogs when they return from serving. Pairing them with former and returning handlers who know how to care and work with these animals rather than allowing them to be destroyed. It’s win-win for all: the dog is saved and the handler has a faithful companion.

Partnering with HORSES FOR HEROES - NEW MEXICO, INC.™ COWBOY UP!
13
What is Horses for Heroes? Cowboy Up! is a unique horsemanship, wellness and skill- set restructuring program free to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan Veterans and active military who have sustained physical injuries or combat trauma (PTSD) during their time serving our country. This program is for both men and women. Horses for Heroes is endorsed by the NM Department of Veterans’ Services, New Mexico Cattle Growers Association and their member ranches, Cimarron Maverick Club NM, Wrangler National Patriot Program, and Gold Star Mothers of America - Albuquerque Chapter.
14
How the programs works Cowboy Up! consists of performance objectives centered on a natural horsemanship school of thought where horse and handler bond through communication, trust and understanding of the horses' natural instincts. Participants also learn techniques of handling livestock while on horseback and on foot. Acknowledging the value of the military skills that each participant possesses, the horsemanship and ranch skills are the perfect template to restructure those skills. No previous horse or ranch experience is necessary to participate. The ranch is an alcohol and drug free environment. Most importantly, the cadre are comrades, not counselors.
15
Horses for Heroes Horses for Heroes, noticed early on a number of returning Vets were serving time in New Mexico prison for minor non-violent crimes. They reached out to the Governor and accomplished two things. First: they convinced the Governor to house the Vets together rather than in general population. Second: they got approval for the Vets to attend the H for H program when released on parole. The organization’s success rate has been outstanding.
