The process of technology integration may seem especially complex to new teachers. There is so much to learn as you enter the teaching profession, from curriculum to lesson planning to student assessment to classroom management. For some, it feels as though technology integration is just too much to do with everything else to master. For new teachers facing these pressures, the following online technology integration resources can be valuable guides for how to proceed technologically.

Edutopia Edutopia: Information and Inspiration for Innovative Teaching in K-12 Schools, a website from the George Lucas Educational Foundation, features a fine collection of technology integration resources. You can find information under the Priority Topics menu. www.edutopia.org

National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T) The National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers includes two different types of resources. 1.Its Digital Learning Exchange includes video case studies of teachers who have integrated technology into classroom learning. 2.Additionally, there are rubrics and forms for you to use to access how effectively you are integrating technology into your own teaching. www.iste.org

NCTE Inbox and NCTE Inbox Blog NCTE Inbox: is a weekly email summary of important stories from the field of English/language arts, including regular updates on technology-related topics and issues.
