5 Free Airport Pickup Hanson is committed to helping our new students settle into their new life in Canada. If our students require to be picked up from the airport the first time they land in Canada, we will be happy to help and no extra cost. We will be happy to provide this service to accompanying family members as well.

6 Temporary accommodation assistance If requested by any of our incoming students in advance, we will provide temporary accommodations at the cost of the student. We will provide a list of available hotels in the neighborhood, as well as book a room for the student for the duration of their choice. The student will have to settle the damages with the hotel/service provider

7 Help with finding permanent accommodation We understand how hard it could be to find the perfect accommodation in a totally new country. How about us do that for you? We provide assistance in finding the right accommodations for students in the requested neighborhoods that fits within the student’s budget. It is highly recommended to submit the accommodation assistance request 3-4 weeks prior you plan to move in. Students may need to provide a deposit to the landlord in order to reserve a place Student submits request with expectations and budget in a request form We review form and provide the student with the various accommodati on options available with costs Students must then decide on a place and forward the deposit to the Landlord

8 Setting up a Bank Account International students may not be aware of the procedures and policies to set up a bank account in Canada. We take every effort to ensure the students transition to their life in Canada, and should they require any information/assistance in setting up a bank account, we will provide any necessary assistance. Activating GIC Most students who come from India need to set up a GIC account before leaving for Canada. Once the student is in Canada, we will provide the necessary assistance for the student to set up their GIC account.

9 Assistance with Mobile Phone It is a generally lengthy procedure for a new comer to Canada to get a sim-card. We will provide the student with all the necessary information to acquire one. Including Costs, Monthly plans, Service provider options, Locations to get a sim card. Easy options for calling home Student Plans

10 Introduction to community resources. Provide information on the various services and resources available : Grocery Store Transit information Libraries Gymnasium Places of Worship Indian Embassy Information

11 CASH TO BE CARRIED TO CANADA $2,000 CAD plus any accrued interest will be deposited into your personal bank account when you arrive in Canada. Each month, for 12 months, you'll receive a portion of the balance of your investment back, plus interest. You can use these funds to help pay for living expenses while you're studying in Canada. After 12 months, you'll have received your $10,000 CAD investment back Therefore, you need to carry cash for  Food Expenses during transit.  2 – 3 months food and accommodation.  Purchase of winter clothes.  Other household requirements.  Incidental and preliminary expenses.  Emergency Medical Treatment. You will also need cash to buy text books and tool boxes and safety shoes/goggles (If you are doing an engineering program). Therefore, it will be safe to carry CAD 3,000

12 WINTER IN CANADA It is not Recommended to buy winter clothes from India as they are not designed for Canadian Winter. You can buy the same from Brampton/Toronto. You may however buy your boots for Sports use from India.
