* Self-contained special education program which provides support for students who require specialized teaching techniques, individualized instruction and small class placement as recommended by the IEP team. * Designed for students who need direct, specialized instruction in at least one of the following areas: academic/cognitive, communication/language, social/emotional, motor, and/or adaptive skills. * IEP goals and objectives are the main focus. * Students participate in general education through mainstreaming and integration as deemed appropriate by the IEP team. * Is staffed at a low student to staff ratio in order to provide the level of support needed to address individualized needs

Print letters correctly Names begin with an uppercase letter all other letters are lowercase Spells words phonetically Use a combination of drawing, dictating and writing to produce written material Write sentences by the end of the year Capitalize first word in a sentence Use ending punctuation

Zero Tolerance for weapons and anything that resembles a weapon (Toys, plastic silverware, etc.) See page 13 of the parent handbook

Library – TBD Kindergarten P.E. – Mondays 1 st Grade P.E. is daily Kindergarten Technology – Thursdays 1 st Grade Technology/Art –Mondays 1 st Grade Music- Mondays Recess – daily weather permitting Please bring in a healthy snack/drink everyday. Bring an extra set of clothes to keep in cubby and a sweatshirt.
