What you need to get started… A Gmail account –Blogger is a Google service that uses other Google services such as Google Drive. –Google Drive, formerly known as Google Docs, allows you to save Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. online. –This allows you to place links on your Blog to these online documents. 4. Get started Go to www.blogger.com and log in using your Google account.www.blogger.com Blogging Basics

5. Click on the button “New Blog” Blogging Basics

6. Type in a title for your blog Type in the address for your blog Click on any template (design) Finally, click on “Create blog!” Blogging Basics

7. This is your blog! Blogging Basics

8. Dashboard Your Dashboard is your starting point. This is where all your blogs are listed, and you can click on the icons next to them to perform various actions on each blog, such as:  Writing a new post: Just click on the orange Pencil icon on your Dashboard to access the Post Editor.  Viewing your posts: The gray Post List icon will take you to a list of your published and drafted posts for a specific blog. 14. Link List To create a link list you may: 1.Copy a web address from any website, or… 2.Copy the web address of a document you have in Google Drive. (you must have a document uploaded to your Google Drive to do this) Blogging Basics

17. Click on “Add a Gadget” Blogging Basics

18. Scroll down and click on “Link List.” Blogging Basics

20. Open a separate tab and click on your document in your Google Drive. Or… Blogging Basics

21. Copy the web address of the website.

22. Be sure to click on “Add Link” Blogging Basics

23. The list of links can be reordered by clicking on the up/down arrows. Click Save when done. Blogging Basics

24. The Gadgets can also be reordered by clicking and dragging. Blogging Basics

26. Template Designer Template designer is used to change the template style or layout of your blog. In the Template tab, click on Customize. Click on several templates to preview them… Blogging Basics
