4. STEP 1 Click the “Find a program” link

5. ... search for a program!

6. Program Search There are multiple methods of searching for a program. These methods include: –Simple Search –Advanced Search –Featured Programs

7. Simple Search In the Simple Search (this is what will show when clicking the ‘Find a Program’ key), a search can be made using either the program name, term, or any combination of city, country and region.

8. Advanced Search Along with the parameters in the Simple Search, the Advanced Search allows students to search by program type as well as other options.

9. Featured Programs The Featured Programs search key lists all of the semester faculty-led education abroad opportunities.

10. After finding a program that interests you, you can then begin the application process. This is started by selecting the ‘Apply Now’ button on the program’s home page.

11. STEP 2: APPLY NOW!!!

12. A prompt will show making sure you would like to apply. Click ‘OK’ to continue.

13. Step 3 : Answer either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ if you are or are not a registered Virginia Tech student

14. (You should see this if you said ‘Yes’) Login using your Virginia Tech PID and Password.

15. STEP 4: Select Term Most faculty led programs are offered in only one term.

16. Step 5: Required Student Info. Fill out all of the fields and then click the ‘Save’ button.

17. You Should See the Application Page There are several documents that need to be completed for the application. Some can be completed online while others need physical submission to the Education Abroad Office. These can all be found on the right side of the page.

STEP 6: Material Submissions These are printable forms that need to be completed and physically submitted to the program leader, your college International Programs office or Education Abroad Office. Your program may list different Material Submissions. Click on the titles and follow the instructions.

19. STEP 7: Recommendations In a few cases, programs are requiring an electronic recommendation. In those cases this is what it would look like.

20. STEP 7: Continued... There are 2 options for the recommendations. 1.Print the Recommendation Form and submit it to the recommender. OR 2.Request Electronic Recommendation and submit it via the internet. If your program requires a recommendation, always make certain that your professor submits your letter on university letterhead!!!

23. STEP 8: Application Questionnaire(s) Application Questionnaire’s are completed and submitted online. They can also be saved and completed at a later time. You must click ‘Submit’ for the questionnaire to be logged as complete and ready for review. Your list of questionnaires will differ by program. Student Essay~~~~~

24. STEP 9: Program Fee VT program fees will be billed to your account at Virginia Tech. Failure to pay them by the due date will result in a hold being placed on your account.

25. Congratulations! You have now completed the application and can await a decision!

26. Wait! There is More!

27. After acceptance, additional forms are required. To complete these forms you can login to your account at any point on our homepage. On our homepage, in the upper right- hand corner you will see these two links. Click the VT CAS Login to complete these forms or to review their status.

29. Required Material & Information There are multiple things to complete –Paper forms  Materials –Online data  Submissions This is the list for the Dijon program Some are due when you apply Others are due after the acceptance decision has been made (post- decision)

30. Where to Deliver Forms Your department or college will tell you where to turn in the paper forms. You give them to the faculty leader, college or departmental staff or international programs office. This information is on the program website or publications. If you are unsure, bring them to Education Abroad/ OIRED – 526 Prices Fork Road

31. Congrats on making it this far!! There might be some additional information you need to submit. The program leaders will tell you what to do.
