INVITATION – NORTHBANK WELLBEING SERIES DISCLOSING AND COMMUNICATION The Government, industry and the law is increasingly looking to employers to improve employees’ health and wellbeing in pre and post recruitment. Developing successful strategies to improve the process for supporting employees that have additional needs can require tailored approaches. This practical and interactive seminar will consider: What Industry is saying about diversity, disclosure and reasonable adjustments How an industry leader is approaching reasonable adjustments Overview of legal aspects around reasonable adjustments What is reasonable for reasonable adjustments? Recent research in the field of disclosure What are the pros and cons of disclosing from employees and employers point of views What and when to declare Mental health and wellbeing Implications around invisible disability in the workplace WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This seminar is aimed at HR and man-management professionals or anyone who would like to add this area of expertise to their role. This seminar aims to be informative, practical as well as inspiring, and will give ample opportunity to ask questions. Our speakers will have some templates and handouts for you to take if you wish. OUR SPEAKERS Beate O’Neil – Head of Wellness, Punter Southall Health and Protection A qualified physiotherapist who has worked in both the public and private health service. Her particular focus is to develop key initiatives around health and wellness strategies for Punter Southall Health & Protection’s corporate clients. Angela Cooke - Inclusion and Diversity department, PwC Angela is a senior HR professional at PwC with a specialist expertise in talent, inclusion and employee wellbeing. A qualified business psychologist having gained a Master’s degree in Occupational Psychology and CIPD qualifications. As part of her role she leads PwC’s long term behaviour change campaign, ‘Open Mind’, which focuses on raising awareness of unconscious bias. Emma Webster - Solicitor, Your Employment Settlement Service A solicitor and mediator with over 10 years experience advising Employees and Employers regarding all aspects of employment law. YESS is a charity which never litigates and resolves employment disputes through constructive and pragmatic conversations. Life’s too short to litigate. Joanna Wootten, Solutions Included Working at business level and the disability issue since 2008. Developing the Disability Standard – a business audit tool. on the advisory board of the Secrets and Big News project which looked at disclosure in the workplace. She was born deaf.
