Lighten Up! Single Window Kits Add Light and Appeal To Home Bathrooms

Bathroom renovations are some of the most value-enhancing and enjoyable upgrades you can make to your home. Installing new bathroom windows can help add light and ventilation to your bathroom. ABE’s single window installation kits make adding a bathroom window easy, allowing you to save money by doing the work yourself. Bathroom Windows

Angle grinder with 4.5 inch metal cutting disc or jigsaw Carpenter square Caulking gun Denatured alcohol Measuring tape Pencil Safety Goggles Straight Edge Utility Knife What You’ll Need

Begin by installing the left wall panel as directed by AmeriWall instructions. Once that’s done, measure from the top of the bath tub or shower pan to the bottom of the window sill. Keep in mind that you’ll need to add 1/8 of an inch to each measurement. When you’ve finished that, measure from the edges of the back wall panel to the edges of the window frame. Next, measure the width of the back wall and trim the back wall panel if necessary. Measure

Next, you’ll need to dry-fit the panel intended for the back wall and use a pencil to make a line on the sheet rock to mark the height of the panel. Make sure to make your marks as accurate as possible to avoid mistakes later in the process. Next, you’ll need to cut the back wall panel to fit the window frame opening. Fit, Mark & Cut

Your next step will involve cleaning the edges of the panel, removing all unnecessary material. After that’s done, apply adhesive around the window frame and to the back wall panel. Once you’ve applied the adhesive, you’ll need to install the back wall panel. Clean & Caulk

Next, you’ll need to use a tape measure to ascertain the width and depth of the window sill and the depth of the window sides. When you’re finished measuring, turn the window sill upside down and measure the depth from the top of the bullnose. Next, measure how wide the window sill is. Measure Again

Your next step is to trim the window sill’s width and depth. When you’re done, dry-fit the window sill. Next, trim the depth of the side piece. Cut it in half and trim it up to match the width and height of the window. Trim

Dry-fit the window sill and side pieces to make sure everything fits as it should. Next, apply adhesive to the window sill and side pieces, then put them in place. When you’re done, thoroughly clean the inside and outside seams of your window kit with denatured alcohol. Then apply white silicone to finish the job. Final Steps
