AUSRAIL 2003 Net Present Value (NPV) Study Assumptions: One mile of track with tie spacing at approximately 20 inches (508 mm). 1/3 of wood ties, in one mile of track, are replaced every 7 years. After three cycles, or 14 years, all ties are replaced. Installation of MRT will extend following replacement cycle by 2 years. YearWoodMRT 01067 7 9 141067 191067
