Walking Purchase William Penn always had a friendly relationship with the Natives of PA When Penn died, his sons took control of the colony Sons were not so friendly Penn brothers wanted more land from Natives Supposedly, Penn signed a deed years earlier that said the Natives would sale land “as far north as a person could walk in a day and a half”
