4 Key Performance Indicators Every call on emergency number 1122 is politely and professionally answered. Every emergency within the city limits is responded ideally within 07 minutes. The applications for Fire Safety Audit Report are responded after Inspection within 7 working days. The applications for community awareness & trainings are responded within working 7 days. 4

5 Cont. The applications for emergency exercises & evacuation drills are responded within 7 working days. The complaints of masses and Citizen Feedback are responded within 3 days and appropriate action is taken to improve short comings if any within 7 days. Emergency preparedness for disasters and for any sensitive social, religious or political events or mass gatherings is maintained. 5

30 Achievements 30 Establishment of Emergency Service in all Districts and 15 Tehsils of Punjab. (expansion to 32 Tehsils in phase-II and 62 Tehsils in phase-III is in process) Establishment of purpose built Emergency Services, Academy at Thokar Niaz Baig. Trained over 10,000 employees in basic medical, fire & rescue skills. Rescued over 3.9 million emergency victims while maintaining average response time of 7 minutes in Punjab. Saved losses worth over billions rupees by timely response and professional management of fire emergencies.

31 Cont. 31 Rescued over 311316 flood affectees (2010 – 2015). 83,447 teachers of 7026 public schools have been trained through School Safety Program. Established 205 Community Emergency Response Teams and trained 2635volunteers. 42,742 citizens have been trained in basic first aid and life saving skills. Establishment of Provincial Monitoring Cell for effective monitoring of District Control Rooms & Operations. Training of staff and technical assistance to AJK, KPK, Balochistan,Gilgit Baltistan, Aman Foundation Karachi and Army Medical Corps.

32 32 Commissioning of Aerial Platform / Snorkel of 70 meters and 104 meters for first time in Pakistan is under process. Active Participation in Chief Minister’s Anti-Dengue Campaign. Two USAR Teams each comprising of 55 rescuers actively participated in rescue and relief activities at Chitral & Shangla after 26 th October, 2015 Earthquake in KPK. Rescued 103 alive and 45 dead victims in a 6 days long rescue operation at Sundar Industrial Estate Factory collapse incident (4 th Nov.2015). Cont.

33 33 Establishment of USAR Teams at Divisional Level in Punjab (under process). Chief Minister Citizen Feed Back Model shows Over 95% satisfaction. 9 Regional Instructors graduated MIW. Cont.

34 Future Goals To provide Emergency Services to remaining Tehsils of Punjab. To establish dedicated USAR Teams at divisional level in Punjab in 3 Phases. To get international accreditation of Emergency Services Academy. To get INSARAG external classification of Disaster Response Team. To mark 2016 as “Year of safety”. To undertake welfare measures for rescuers (health, education, financial etc) To organize annual rescue exhibition for awareness. 34

35 Technical assistance in establishment of Emergency Services and training of Emergency Staff of other provinces. Prevention of emergencies through Emergency Council and District Emergency Board. Maintain the uniform standards in all Districts of Punjab through effective monitoring. Capacity building of Officers/Officials for professional excellence.
