6 Request for Proposal –Silver Lining Imaging Solutions (3) General diagnostic CR/DR imaging rooms ( 2) CT Scanners (1 is newer) (1) MRI Machine Purchase plans for (2) New DR Mammography machines Multiple DICOM interfaces are needed to improve interoperability, remote image viewing capabilities Purchase plans for (3) New computer equipment/monitors for CR/DR general diagnostic workstations Vendor facility training for (4) RHH staff members On-Site training sessions for Radiologists, non-Radiology physicians and staff education Radiologists reading room equipment and construction

7 Silver Lining Imaging Solutions Improved efficiency of workflow through quicker report/result turn around time Communicate results and images to referring physicians in the local community and regional facilities Allows remote access for trouble- shooting

8 Site Visit- Anytime Hospital Summary Close proximity Similar size Initial meeting One-on-one Suggest extra personnel staffing for system conversion Allow for multiple staff training sessions with vendor Improved efficiency of workflow through quicker report/result turnaround times Vendor was supportive and readily available for troubleshooting In the event of system downtime, vendor was able to remote access system to assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Upgrades to systems were done in stages to allow for continued patient flow and to minimize patient inconvenience. Added extra staffing during peak volume times to assist each other with patient flow. Allowed extra time for outpatient scheduled appointments during initial conversion. Overall impression was favorable and successful implementation.

9 Training Vendor Training Site – Three Days PACS Administrator IT Director (2) Superusers from Radiology On-sight Training Various training sessions for all shifts to accommodate staff schedules and decrease scheduling conflicts Utilize hospital conference room Test systems Mammography training sessions One-on-one training for Radiologists Non-essential physicians- remote viewing access training Image retrieved from http://www.123rf.com/photo_14800035_3d-people--human-character-person-and-cubes-with-idea--3d- render.html
