SENIOR PATROL LEADER Preside at all Troop meetings, events, activities, and annual program planning conference. Chair the Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) Appoint boy leaders with advise & consent of the Scoutmaster Assign Duties & responsibilities to other youth leaders Work with the Scoutmaster in training youth leaders Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit

Be responsible for training & giving direct leadership to the following appointed leaders: historian, Order of the Arrow Troop representative, scribe, librarian, instructor, quartermaster, & chaplain. Help lead meetings & activities as called upon by the senior Patrol leader Guide the Troop in the senior Patrol leader’s absence Perform tasks assigned by the senior Patrol leader Function as a member of the Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit ASSISTANT SENIOR PATROL LEADER

Serve as the activities assistant at Den Meetings Meet regularly with the Den Leader to review the Den & Pack Meeting plans If serving as Webelos den Chief, help prepare boys to join Boy Scouts Project a positive image of Boy Scouts Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit DEN CHIEF

Gather pictures, video, stories, thoughts & feelings, facts and information about past Scout activities of the Troop and keep them in printed and/or digital or video scrapbooks Take care of Troop trophies, awards, and keepsakes Keep information about Troop Alumni Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit HISTORIAN

Help each boy with Duty to God (and specific religious awards for non-LDS boys) Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit CHAPLAIN AID

Train & Guide boy leaders Work w/ other responsible adults to bring Scouting to boys Use the methods of Scouting to achieve - Aims of Scouting Meet regularly w/ the Patrol Leaders’ Council for training & coordination in planning troop activities Attend all Troop Meetings or, when necessary, arrange for a qualified adult substitute Attend Troop Committee Meetings Conduct periodic parent sessions to share the program & encourage participation & cooperation Conduct Scoutmaster Conferences for all rank advancements Provide a systematic onboarding plan for new members & see they are registered promptly Delegate responsibility to other adults (Committee & assistants) so they are part of the Troop operations Conduct all activities under qualified leadership & safe conditions, and within the guidelines of the LDS Church Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit SCOUTMASTER
