SERVICE ENTRANCE CABLE (SEU) Service Entrance Un-armored Applications: For above ground electrical service use from the electric utility power service point to the meter or service entrance panel. Construction: Conductors are parallel with a stranded ground wire applied helically over the insulated conductors. For 10, 8,and 6 AWG-sized cables, the bare ground (solid for 10 AWG and stranded for 8 & 6 AWG), is laid parallel with the insulated conductors. A glass-reinforced tape is applied overall. Insulation: High dielectric strength, heat- and moisture-resistant, black or colored Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) rated for continuous use at 90°C dry, 75°C wet. Conductor Jacket: Clear Nylon sheath Overall Jacket: Extruded, protective gray PVC jacket over the taped assembly Features: Flat surface entrance cable, 2 conductors with un-insulated neutral McNaughton-McKay part numbers: WIRESEU888AL250 WIRESEU (INSULATED WIRE SIZE) (SIZE GROUND) AL 250 AWG: 10 – 3/0 Stranded Copper Conductor PVC Insulation Nylon Conductor Jacket Bare Ground Conductors Glass (reinforced tape shield) PVC Jacket

BARE COPPER Applications: Bare Copper conductors are primarily used for grounding purposes. Copper conductors are used in overhead electrical transmission and distribution systems for grounding electrical systems, and where high-conductivity and flexibility are required for equipment and circuit grounding. Construction : Bare copper conductors are normally annealed (soft) copper, solid or stranded Un-insulated and uncoated Features: Highest conductivity per unit area of all common commercial metals. Excellent corrosion resistance. Flexible; easily worked and formed into place. Good fatigue resistance; not subject to breaks due to nicks or cuts when terminating. Totally recyclable with high scrap value. AWG: 14 through 1000 KCMIL 14 through 2 solid, 8 through 1000 KCMIL stranded McNaughton-McKay part numbers: WIREBARE2/0-19STR/CUT WIREBARE (AWG OR KCMIL) (STRANDS) STR/CUT WIREBARE (AWG) SOL/CUT

CAT5/5E Category 5 Patch Cable Cat 5, is a twisted pair (4 pairs) cable type designed for high signal integrity. Many such cables are unshielded (UTP) but some are shielded (STP). Category 5 has been superseded by the Category 5e specification. This type of cable is often used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet and basic voice services. Performance characteristics and test requirements for frequencies of up to 100 MHz. Cat 5e Patch Cable An enhanced version of Cat 5 that adds specifications for far end crosstalk. Very similar to Cat 5, it has improved specifications for crosstalk and attenuation. Jacket : Gray or Blue PVC CAT5E Belden (BEL), Coleman (CLE), Commscope (CSP) Solid Copper Conductor Colored PVC Insulation PVC Jacket 24 AWG

OLFLEX 190/190CY Applications: Machinery: CNC machining centers, Grinding machines, Bottling equipment, Conveyors, Processing equipment, Assembly lines and Control Panels. Construction : Finely stranded bare copper conductors; non-wicking filler; dry lubricant; oil resistant PVC jacket. Insulation: Blended PVC/nylon insulation Features: Extremely oil resistant, excellent industrial power and control cable, very flexible and number coded for easy routing and terminating, round jacket for optimal seal with a SKINTOP strain relief. 600 Volt Extremely Oil Resistant Flexible Control Cable Now with UL MTW to Comply with NFPA 79 2007 Part numbers: OLFU60 (AWG) (Conductors w/ground) ‘CY = shielded’

SHIELDED v. UNSHIELDED A shielded cable is an electrical cable of one or more insulated conductors enclosed by a common conductive layer. The shield may be composed of braided strands of copper (or other metal), a non- braided spiral winding of copper tape, or a layer of conducting polymer. Usually, this shield is covered with a jacket. The shield reduces electrical noise from affecting the signals, and to reduce electromagnetic radiation that may interfere with other devices. The shield minimizes noise from other electrical sources. What does this mean???

Servo Motor Cable Allen Bradley Bulletin 2090 Job specific and needs to be sized accordingly. Part number configuration and quoting should be referred to Amy Farris. Brush Controls/Marathon (BCI) and Flex Cable (FLX) Highly flexible, although Allen Bradley is now entering the high-flex market As with the Allen Bradley 2090, best to refer requests to Amy Farris since servo motor cables are job specific. Allen Bradley 2090: Standard, Non-Flex
