2 Charles Dickens -was an English writer and social critic. The most popular English writer in his life,he was in our time has the reputation of the classics of world literature,one of the greatest writers of the nineteenth century.

3 His father was a wealthy official, cheerful and good-natured, with a taste which had the coziness and comfort, which so cherished every well-off family of old England. Their children and, in particular,his Charlie, Mr. Dickens surrounded with care and affection.

4 Soon the family was devastated by Dickens. Father was abandoned for many years in prison, mother had to fight poverty. Dickens was a dream again be in the ranks of men who used a certain wealth.
