4. The Plan Takes Hold March 1605: o Thomas Percy rents a cellar beneath Parliament o Fawkes fills the room with 36 barrels of gunpowder

The Plot Thickens October 26, 1605: o William Parker, 4th Baron Monteagle and a Catholic, receives a letter about the plot o Catesby decides to move on with the plan despite letter October 30, 1605: o Fawkes inspects the cellar and the gunpowder November 3, 1605: o Conspirators meet and agree their plan will be successful Sir William Parker

6. The Plan Unravels Three things happened simultaneously: 1.Parker turned in the letter to higher authorities 2.Sir Thomas Knyvett was sent by the king to search the cellars below Parliament 3.Fawkes was waiting in the cellar for a signal to light the barrels
