3 September 30, 2016 | slide 3 What is JISC?  JISC is driving innovation in UK education and research, and has been doing so for more than 15 years. Historically, the acronym stood for ‘Joint Information Systems Committee’. Over time our role has evolved and our reputation in the UK and internationally has grown. So while we may not be an ‘information systems committee’ any longer, we continue to champion the use of digital technology to ensure the UK remains world-class in research, teaching and learning. www.jisc.ac.uk
