Annotated Bibliography Dolan, Maura. "Gay marriage foes may win right to defend Prop. 8 in court." latimes.com. Last modified September 7, 2011. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/ la-me-0907-prop8-20110907,0,914011,print.story. Several California Supreme Court justices appear skeptical that only elected officials could defend measures passed by voters. This could give opponents of same-sex marriage a chance to test the case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Prop. 8 is a issue that California is going to deal with for a while. Beat by New York, there just hasn't been a justice team that can get the right numbers of votes in order to negate Prop. 8 and allow gay-marriage to be legal in California. Lowenstein, David. “Prop 8 Might be Repealed in Near Future.” Daily Trojan. Daily Trojan, 3 Feb. 2011. Web. Sep. 2011 Many people who are voted yes on proposition 8 were the ones who believed marriage was a union between a man and a woman. If people are created equally and aren't bound by any means to who they can and can't marry, why is there a law against marrying someone of the same sex? Prop 8 was voted yes on in the last election but will hopefully be placed on the 2012 ballot for a repeal. Nevius, C.W. "Proposed rules should address problem of nudity." SFGate.com. Last modified September 8, 2011. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/09/08/ BAI11L0Q1E.DTL&type=printable. Here, anti-nudity and compromise is addressed. Since San Francisco is a place where there nudity is explicitly stated as illegal, there are people in the Castro District utilizing nudity as an expression of free speech. Scott Weiner proposed a compromise that the nudists may remain unclothed as long as they place a towel underneath them whilst sitting (ex. on a muni.) Disrupt has been caused. Some people believe it is a right, while others feel the nudity is disruptive and a corruption.
