Why I choose my Topic and Product I want to become a OB-GYN it would be nice to learn more about c-sections. I've always heard of women getting cesarean sections and not being able to do anything for some weeks. my mother had a cesarean section I wanted to know what she went through. I am interested in the female anatomy

Are cesarean sections overly prescribed? While researching this question I found…… C-section are overly prescribed There has been a 40 percent increase in cesarean sections within the last decade. Most obstetrics would like for babies to be born vaginally. Women aren't realizing that this is a major surgery.
5
Research Facts It takes up to three to four weeks for pain and fatigue to go away. VBACs (vaginal births after cesarean) are safe for most women. A c-section takes about 30 to 60 minutes to finish.
6
Volunteering at the Women's Pavilion For my product I volunteered at the Women’s Pavillion at Johnston Health in Smithfield and got to see and talk to expecting moms. Ask them question about their pregnancy.
7
Obstacles Being told I couldn’t do certain things at the hospital. Not knowing what would be apropriate questions to ask expecting mothers Not being able to take pictures with the mothers. Not managing time wisely.
8
Successes Getting all my paper work turned in on time. Getting my hours done for my product. There's a possibility that I can get a job at the hospital after I get my Cna(certified nursing assistant). Finishing my project on time.
9
Self Reflection I learned that some women have cesarean sections for selfish reasons. Becoming an OB-GYN is still at the top of my list. Nurses do a lot that we don’t get to see. I've learned that I am more of a people person than I thought. Doing this project will helped me understand why some women chose their birthing method.
