A singular noun names one person, place, thing or ideas. EXAMPLES: BOY PLANET BRUSH BRANCH MIX EXPERIENCE

A plural noun names more than one, person, place, thing or idea. EXAMPLES: TEETH BUNNIES TREES COMPUTERS

When you are changing a singular noun to a plural noun…follow these rules! Add –s to form a plural of most singular nouns. Trees Offices Schools Teachers Add –es to form the plural of singular nouns that end in s, sh, ch, or x. Boxes Branches Brushes Benches

Rules continued… To from the plural of nouns ending in a consonant and y, change the y to I and add –es. Babies Puppies Bunnies Studies To form a plural of nouns ending in a vowel and y, add –s. Boys Toys Trays Plays

Rules continued… If a noun ends in f, sometimes add –s, or change the f to a v and add –es. Change lf to b and add –es. Halves Calves Roofs Some words changes completely when you make them plural. Teeth Women Men Geese
