Typical meals ● The « bouillabaisse » is a typical meal from Marseilles. It's a fish soup composed of sea robin, bream, monkfish, shellfish... acompanied of « rouille » and a mayonnaise made of olive oil. ● « L'aïoli » is a typical sauce made of garlic and olive oil. It's like a mayonnaise. ● The soup of « Pistou » is a soup based on summer vegetables, pasta with « Pistou » and basil.

« Pastis » « Pastis » is a name given to a liquor perfumed with anise and liquorice.

Desserts ● The « Navettes » are biscuits from Marseilles which are eaten during the « Chandeleur » instead of pancakes. ● The 13 desserts are composed of fruits, « pompe à l'huile » -bun-, cake, nuts, almonds, nougats black or white, « oreillettes » -biscuits- … ● The « espérantines » are based of olive oil, cacao, almonds and oranges.

« Pétanque » The « Pétanque » is a game of bowls and one of the bowls is smaller ; it's the « cochonnet ».

« Savon de Marseille » The « Savon de Marseille » is a soap composed of a blend essentials oils and sodium hydroxide.
