1. It’s your choice what to draw, Make it good!

2.  Choose a picture of something interesting & challenging to draw. It may be a photograph that you took or a photograph from Google.  MUST be a photograph- not an icon, a cartoon, or a symbol.  Make it challenging!

3.  Paste the photo into a Microsoft Word document.  Drag the corner of the photo out as large as it can go. Make sure the photo is large enough that the edges are clear.  Adjust the borders of your paper if you need to make the picture even larger.

4.  Print the picture.  Grid the picture into one inch squares.

5.  Now grid the larger paper into 2 x 2 inch squares (VERY LIGHTLY!)  Cut off any excess paper

6.  Start drawing in the information from the small boxes into the corresponding larger boxes(outlines 1 st !)

7.  Once everything is outlined, erase the grid lines.  Pick your media (Pencil, colored pencil, crayon, etc.)  Start to add value and shade to your piece with your media choice
