August we will be celebrating National Sandwich Month, as well as National Ice Cream sandwich day. We will do a Culinary Tour of Brazil in honor of the summer Olympics and back by popular demand a Wine and Cheese tasting. LTC will be starting the new summer/fall menus on July 18 th. The menu runs in a 4 week cycle. Reminder to residents to keep hydrated in the hot weather. We continue with the final phase of construction by the end of summer. The temporary hoarding wall will come down by the end of August. There will also be an intercom system with visual display installed at the main LTC entrance in the near future. Environmental Department We hope you all have been enjoying the warm weather! Birds are singing, flowers are lovely and everyone seems to be smiling. Please remember to our pesky pests, make sure you have all food in baggies or sealed containers, this will help to keep them away. Also, families who visit the LTC side and are bringing in clothing please remember the procedure for labelling: ** Take the clothing to the nurses station and Nursing staff will place in a clear bag with the residents name and what is in the bag on it. This will ensure they get to laundry to label. We document the date and items labelled in the log book.** On another note, any maintenance requests you need to please inform nursing staff and they will log in out maintenance book.
