SJSU Washington Square Bursar Services Collect payments for tuition, fees and housing. Disburse financial aid funds. Process and generate refunds. Issue SJSU Tower ID cards (for registered students). Offer payment plans. Assist students with questions regarding their student account.

SJSU Washington Square Student Responsibilities Know when to register, last day to add, last day to drop and refund schedules (aware of all University policies and procedures). Know payment due dates. The due date for payment is dependent on when you register, so refer to MySJSU once you have registered to view your payment due date. Know enrollment cancellation dates (first business day after payment due date). Sign up for the payment plan if you want to spread your payments out over time. File for financial aid in a timely manner and provide any necessary documentation as soon as requested.

SJSU Washington Square Payment Options Online Payments – Preferred method. Easy, fast and safe. By E-Check – Checking or savings account. No fee. By Credit Card – Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express. *2.75% convenience fee. SJSU does not accept debit card payments. Payment in person in the Student Services Center (SSC). By cash, check, cashier’s check, money order or bank draft. SJSU does not accept credit card payments in person, only online.

SJSU Washington Square Payment Options By mail or drop box at SSC – Check only and include student name and ID on face of the check. Installment payment plans available. Enroll on MySJSU. International wire transfer. Now flywire, formerly peerTransfer. Safe, fast, less expensive and payment is tracked throughout the process from initiation to when payment is received by the University. Financial aid fee deferrals. (Placed by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office.)

SJSU Washington Square Other Services Electronic refunds – Direct deposit of funds into your bank account. Safe and fast deposit of financial aid and refunds. No fee. Third party payment options – Veterans program Department of Rehabilitation Employers Short term loans Advances against expected financial aid or based on verifiable employment.

SJSU Washington Square Spartan Bookstore Program Registered degree seeking students can charge up to $900 per semester for books and supplies purchased at the Spartan Bookstore. Charges will be added to your student account. Payment for bookstore charges will be due March 21. Tower ID card and signed release required when picking up books and supplies. Books can be ordered online to be picked up at the bookstore. Can also rent books on this program, but a credit card will be required to keep on file.
