The New Crosby The Implementation of Innovation Based on the 2015 NMC Horizon Report on Education, Two Technological Strategies SHOULD be implemented into Crosby High School to Enhance Personalized Education for all students. BYOD-(Bring Your Own Device) EXPLANATION OF STRATEGY Bring Your Own Device is the integration of a student’s Smartphone, Tablet, or Personal Computer into the classroom curriculum. (NMC, 2015) IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS 1. Rework the District Policy on Student Usage of Personal Software 2. Develop School-wide Access to Wi-Fi 3. Purchase Software to Correlate to the Classroom Curriculum. 4. Provide Ongoing Professional Development to Faculty and Staff on Incorporation of BYOD into the Classroom (NMC, 2015) “The Flipped Classroom” EXPLANATION OF STRATEGY The Flipped Classroom strategy combines blended learning, inquiry-based learning, and other instructional approaches and tools to make the classroom accessible at all times. (NMC, 2015) IMPLMENTATION PROCESS 1. Purchase Technology to Allow Faculty to Film Classroom Activities 2. Influence All Teachers to Have a Website Designed for Their Classes 3. Upload Filmed Class Activities/Lectures 4. Provide Ongoing Professional Development to Faculty and Staff on the “Flipped Classroom” Model (NMC, 2015)

Scenarios Are Situations established to create possible outcomes or possibilities Enable an educational organization to plan for a productive future Generate plausible actions, concepts, and inventions for the future (Rasmus, 2015) Scanning –(A Futurist Technique) Uses Observational and Research Based Data to form conclusions Analyzes trends in the population to form hypotheses Allows Stakeholders the Opportunity for Input (Sobrero, 2014) PositivesChallenges Create Baselines for Innovation Deal with Constant Changes to Educational Funding Create Multiple Ideas About the Future Lead to Radical Thinking Allow Planners to Avoid Surprises Will Include A Wide Range of Learners PositivesChallenges Gives the Stakeholders Input Data Can Be Skewed Is Based Off Real World Issues Is Based on Previous Change Is Supported with Concrete Data Can Be Swayed By Stakeholder Biases and Opinions

IMPACT ON EDUCATION Higher Class Sizes More Money Needed for Educational Resources Crowding During Class Transitions Hiring of Additional Staff A Necessity Need for New Innovations to Curb Population Increase

What's Beyond the Horizon? The New Crosby will be will be based on new and creative ideas that will increase student MOTIVATION for learning, and expose all involved with brand new INNOVATIONS in the field of education.
