3. BIOGRAPHY. He Started working for a newspaper company covering the New York Knicks for the New York Post at age 23.. Lupica wrote "The Sporting Life" column in Esquire magazine for ten years beginning in1987.. In 2003 he won the Jim Murray award from the national football foundation.. In 2004 he co-wrote a book with Bill Parcells aka the big tuna.

4. FAVORITE BOOK My favorite book by Mike Lupica is Travel Team. It is about a very good basketball player named Danny who doesn't make the travel basketball team due to how short he is. He doesn't get down o himself instead his dad starts a team and picks up all the good players that didn’t make the team and got them to come to his team. His team starts to make some noise and make the playoffs and people are starting to wonder if the new team could beat the team all these kids did not make. During the playoffs they face the team the didn’t make.

5. WHY DO I LIKE HIS BOOKS? I like Mike Lupica’s books because they have to do with kids sports and some of his books are similar situations I've been in or a friend has been in. Also the sports he writes about I play.
