AITSL Standards Professional Practice: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning. 3.4 – Select and use resources Graduate – Demonstrate knowledge of a range of resources, including ICT, that engage students in their learning. Used ICT to engage students (lessons 1, 2 and 6) – iPhone and iPads Used ICT Provided images to students for them to grasp the concept of light and engage in the learning (lessons 4 and 5) Laser Pointer – students wanted to know more about the light source – (lesson 3)

WALT Today we are learning to: Identify natural and man-made light sources Understand how a shadow is formed etc Activities we used were to help the students understand the learning intentions of the concept. Reflection: Each lesson concluded with a five minute reflection where the students would each tell the group one thing they learnt and gave an example of what it is they were talking about. One student stated he learnt that light can reflect off things. His example was that light reflects off the earth which is why people can see objects in space.
