3. What we set out to do to increase the capacity of the NHS workforce to deliver health promotion messages to clients/patients to embed health promotion and disease prevention thinking in the everyday work of health and social care employees Talking with Patients about Healthy Lifestyles

A vision for a public health workforce: that all workers, at differing level of competence are able to engage individuals with confidence...... using basic skills of awareness, engagement and communication to introduce such ideas as lifestyle behaviour change, and to motivate individuals to improve self care and management.
